Langdon Hills is a place where the landscape itself feels old — quiet lanes, scattered farmhouses, and wooded slopes that hold stories far older than the modern town below. Among these hills sit two of the district’s most enduring hauntings, each tied to buildings long remembered for their strange and unsettling activity.

 

Northlands Farmhouse, wasa building with a dark reputation. The farmhouse was linked to a tragic suicide, and the haunting that followed was said to centre on a ghostly door that opened and closed by itself.

Visitors reported seeing the door swing shut with force, or finding it wide open moments after they had closed it. Some claimed to see bloodstains appear on the floorboards, only to vanish when touched. The atmosphere inside the farmhouse was described as heavy and oppressive, as though the building itself remembered the violence that had taken place within its walls.​
